The original pan was carried by William Small of the 20th Wisconsin Infantry.  This pan has been called a "coffee cooler" in the past by some who have reproduced it.  It measures 5 inches in diameter and is 1.5 inches deep.  Our reproduction is made in the USA and is made from hot dipped tin.

Love these bowls. Bought them for my kids but I think I will be using them pretty often myself!

Great quality tin mess pan. For some reason it was smaller than I envisioned. Guys give me heck and call it my dog dish. It is honestly perfect. It fits fantastic in a haversack with a canteen half without taking up much room, most of what we eat doesn't do well on a plate. It will fit two and a half ladles of stew. It's super sturdy and well made. Love this mess pan, another great SUM product!!
