We are excited to announce that we now have stock of newly reproduced and now SOLD OUT (from the original maker) the U.S. 1885 Issue blanket.  This blanket is being offered as a faithful reproduction to the original and is woven from 100% wool in the authentic blue/gray color with a darker blue end stripe on both ends.  The blanket measures approximately 5'6" wide and 7' long and weighs nearly 4.5 pounds.  Like 99% of the surviving originals, the blanket is unmarked and does not bear a US marking.  This blanket is perfect for any U.S. Army or Marine impression from 1885 through the beginning of World War 1, and also for civilian applications during those time periods. It is EXTREMELY similar, nearly identical, to a version of English import blankets that were imported into the Confederacy.  We currently have a very limited supply of these, and once they're gone, they're gone as the original commissioner is sold out and has no plans to do more.
