A few years ago, we were excited to obtain an orginal pair of slippers from the mid-19th Century and have wanted to be able to reproduce and offer these to our customers since that time. We are happy that those reproductions are finally available (currenltly in women's sizes, but coming soon in men's sizes). Any student of 19th Century material culture will recognize slippers of this pattern and they can be seen being worn by both men and women through various sources (one image of a man wearing siliar is in the item photos).
Our reproduction slippers are made after our original, and feature cotton velvlet body, leather sole, cotton canvas lining, and floral embroidery. For ladies, they run a size small, meaning that if you wear a women's size 8, you would want to order a size 9. Currently available on an in stock basis only, we will restock these for a short time and then change velvet color to avoid oversaturating the living history community with too many of one style.
MEN'S SIZES WILL BE AVAILABLE IN 3-4 WEEKS AND ARE NOT CURRENTLY IN STOCK.
