Mid 19th century men's straw hats made from natural wheat straw braid in the same way they were made in the 19th century....one at a time on a treadle sewing machine using cotton thread. The crown is 3 1/2 inches tall the the brim is 4 inches wide. These are the nicest straw hats we have had the pleasure of offering. These hats are made from tightly woven wheat straw and have body to them and are not flimsy....they will hold up to the elements. They are finished with a goatskin sweatband and real silk/cotton grosgrain crown ribbon. Please see choices available in your size in options. Some sutlers offer straw hats at lower prices, but do not be deceived....these hats are far superior to what you will find in many other sutler offerings. They are custom made and will stand the authenticity test and wear test.
Shipping costs are more than normal orders due to the size of the box required to ship the hats.
