These socks are essentially the same socks as our early 19th century "half stockings", but are offered here so folks will know this is the same sock that was being issued to Federal troops at the beginning of the war. Offering in natural white and gray wool, these socks are hand knit and feature the correct toe construction and common heel of the period.

Phenomenal socks
These socks are comfortable right out of the package. I’ve worn them with my knee boots, 2 pairs of brogans, and camp shoes. I like the weight of materials, the extra padding from the construction design of the heal and toe. A phenomenal pair of socks and I’ll be purchasing a white pair.
