We are excited to be offering this reproduction of the camp cot made famous by the 1859 book "The Prairie Traveler" by Randolph B. Marcy.  This cot is made from solid oak wood with, steel rivets, copper tacks, and cotton canvas.

NOTE - our most recent versions are made as the original but with a “furring” strip on the interior of the rails to better support the canvas and keep it from loosening from the rails.  This will allow better support for larger sleepers.  I am 6’1, 208 lbs and have slept comfortably on this cot and well supported.

We are going to make versions in the future that are reinforced in out of sight areas to help accommodate larger folks.  These are available for pickup at the events listed.   Our cots are made one by one in an Amish woodworking shop by non-electric tools.  COTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR SHIPPING, SO PLEASE ONLY CHOOSE "PICKUP AT CEDAR CREEK" AS THE SHIPPING OPTION.

Made in Tennessee, USA.
