These reproduction blankets are from Ben Tart Textiles and based on an original in his collection. They are 100% wool with dark brown end stripes woven on a tan body. The finished blanket measures approximately 69" wide x 84" Long. The blankets are woven by Family Heirloom Weaver's shuttle looms and have the proper return selvage edge found on original blankets. The blankets weigh 3.2 pounds, which matches the weight of an original in Tart's collection that was carried by Private A. Crow of Company E, 7th Indiana Volunteer Cavalry. The reproduction blanket has instructions to mark the US with block letter US markings which closely match the original.
