Pocket Memorandum

Memo book closed

Our pocket memorandum book is a copy of an original in our collection that was originally purchased from Union Drummer Boy in Gettysburg, PA.  These small memo books were a common item in the mid-19th century and can be found in Civil War soldier personal effects collections in numerous instances.  Our reproduction is made of bone with silver inlay and has 6 bone "sheets" inside that are labeled Monday-Saturday.  You can write notes on the sheets with a pencil and then wipe the note off once it's no longer needed (19th century version of the dry erase board). Just as the original, our reproduction measures 1 3/8" wide and 2 1/2" long.  These were VERY meticulous to reproduce correctly and we do know they are an expensive item, but we know you will not be disappointed and they are available nowhere else!
