Our early 19th century trousers are fall front straight legged trousers that would have been commonly worn by workmen and dandies of the period, alike. These trousers are designed for the waistband to be worn just above natural waist (i.e. above hip bones/navel area so please give your waist circumference in this area when ordering). They have a "V" tie adjustment in the back and a watch pocket. Button holes and some finishing is done by hand.
Note - We try to keep several sizes in stock. If your size is not in stock at the time of order, a wait of 4-6 weeks may be necessary.
Sizing information: Like all of our trousers, these trousers are sized at NATURAL WASTE size, which is your true waist at the navel (bully button). That usually will not be what your modern jean size is. Jean sizes have "vanity" inches built in, so please measure your waist with a tape and make sure of your actual natural waist size before you order. For example, if you wear a modern jeans size of 38, your natural waist might be a 40 or 42.
