Our mid-19th century boots are the standard boot of the time period, with a little added flare in the red trim on top. Our leather boots are made straight last with a 14 inch top and hand pegged soles and a nailed heel. The boots are lighter weight than many reproductions currently on the market today, and are closer to the weight of the originals we have viewed and handled. They are made on straight lasts, so don't have a right or left. Please see below calf measurements for stock boots before ordering!! They come in whole sizes only and are in stock and ready for shipment in some sizes, or shipment in approximately 4-6 weeks for other sizes. I don’t usually write reviews but these boots deserve them. They are incredibly comfortable and break and easy. Keep them well oiled and they will continue to be a dream! Plan on adding hob nails soon.

Very comfortable but a bit loose fitting if you have not that big calves. But the problem is fixed with thick socks and tucking the trousers in the boots. A very authentic, quality made and fancy looking boot.

Finally an accurate mid-19-Century boot

This is an excellent reproduction of a common boot of the period. The red top sets it off and gives it a dressy appearance for an impression as a prosperous merchant or maybe a riverboat gambler. Fit is good and the leather is much more accurate than the harness leather that most footwear vendors are offering. Good value for the price.
